<p>I find that many companies struggle when it comes to strategic planning&#8230;don&#8217;t like the process or find that it&#8217;s not realistic enough or can&#8217;t get past the daily routine into the strategic arena&#8230;many times they&#8217;re right.</p>
<p>Jack Welch is attributed with the comment that if he got off the plane and discovered that he had left their strategic plan on the plane, he wouldn&#8217;t be worried because nobody else could implement their plan like GE could.</p>
<p>Welch was great at strategy and great at finding people to execute well.</p>
